aap kaise fraud se Bach sakte hain-New Delhi, Anurag Mishra.

New Delhi, Anurag Mishra.  At present, the need and utility of video conferencing has increased a lot due to work from home.  In such a situation, it is being seen many times that fraudsters tamper with someone's photo and video and come to the meeting without knowing.  In view of this, researchers from IIT Ropar and Monash University, Australia have invented a unique detector called 'Fake-Buster', which can detect any online fraud.  Such fraudsters enter the virtual conference without anyone's knowledge.  Through this technique, fraudsters can also be caught in social media, who take the cover of their face to defame or make fun of someone.

Dr. Abhinav Dhal, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, IIT Ropar, said that with this unique technique, it can be detected that whose video is being tampered with or who is infiltrating during the video conference.  With this technology, it will be known who has entered the fake webinar or virtual meeting.  Such intrusions are often done by tampering with the photo of your co-worker or genuine member.

Dr. Abhinav Dhal of the four-member team that developed the 'Fake-Buster' said that there has been an increase in the incidents of media content manipulation with artificial intelligence technology.  Such technologies are developing day by day.  This has made it difficult to pinpoint true and false, which can have far-reaching implications for safety.  Dr. Abhinav Dhal said that the accuracy of this tool is more than 90 percent.  The other three members are Associate Professor Ramanathan Subramanian and two students Vineet Mehta and Parul Gupta.

A paper on this technology 'Fake-Buster: A DeepFake Detection Tool for Video Conferencing Sceneries' was presented last month at the 26th International Conference on Intelligent User Interfaces held in the US.

Dr. Dhal says that media content is manipulated in the spread of fake-news.  The same manipulation is done with objectionable and other online content, which has profound implications.  He said this type of manipulation is also happening in video conferencing, where the intruders infiltrate by changing facial expressions through devices.  This deception seems to be true to people, which has dire consequences.  Manipulating video or visuals is called 'deepfax'.  It can also be misused during online exams or job interviews.  This software is different from the video conferencing solution and has been tested on Zoom and Skype applications.  Deepfake detection tool 'Fake-Buster' works both online and offline.  It can be used in laptops and desktops at present.  Regarding this, Associate Professor Subramanian says, “Our aim is to keep the network small and light, so that it can be used on mobile phones and other devices.  He said that his team is also currently working on a device to detect fake audio.  The team claims that the 'Fake-Buster' software is the first tool that uses deepfake detection technology to detect hoaxes during live videoconferencing.  This device has been tested and will be launched in the market soon.
